Samdrup Jongkhar Thromde is pleased to allocate spaces to the total of 37 vendors from different categories (vegetables , fruits, dry fish and meats) in the newly Integrated vegetable market shed at lower market through a lucky draw system based on their assigned lucky dip numbers. Previously, the vendors operated from a temporary market shed located at Tendrel Thang until the completion of this new infrastructure.
We eagerly anticipate that this new development will not only enhance the shopping experience for customers but also create more favorable conditions for the vendors. The project, valued at Nu. 65 million, has been made possible through the generous funding from GOI.
This significant investment in upgrading the market infrastructure signifies a commitment to improving economic activities in the region. The allocation of market spaces in a fair and transparent manner sets a positive precedent for future developments in the area. With all vendors now settled in their new spaces, we anticipate increased foot traffic, improved services, and a more vibrant marketplace that will cater to the needs of both buyers and sellers.
